Pleasant nightwalks in Pécs

I spend most of my time in Pécs, but not for fun. Unfortunately, I don't have much to enjoy the beauty of the city, because I work besides my studies, which is really not easy. I would like to have more free time, but I have to live and pay my expenses. I usually work till 10 p.m. at night. My colleagues and me are always jealous of people who can enjoy the sunshine while we are rotting in the house of McDonald's - it is not a pleasant place. I don't want to die there, that's why I am learning. During work, I look out as much as I can. I love to look at the TV tower, mainly when it is foggy or rainy, it is beautiful.

Stepping out after 10 o'clock, I feel the freedom in my veins. I am always surprised at the silence I experience, because Pécs is a crowded city anyway. But at weekends, many youngers come to buy food at McDonald's, so we have busy times then, mainly at Saturday night. We always have a guardian at Friday night and on Saturday. They have to be there, because drunken youngers cannot really control themselves even if they are at a fast food restaurant, sometimes it turns into a fight what we, workers tend to enjoy. It is beautiful to be out at night anyway. I love the dark streets and the air I breathe. In my opinion, this is the time of the day when Pécs is really calm. The narrow streets are empty and the lights extremely highlight the beauty of the city and its buildings to its particulars, what you may not notice when the sun is shining. I don't mean the tobacco factory, no way. The TV tower is still the first place I look at after saying goodbye to my colleagues.

Finishing at work is a beautiful experience: I can go home at last, and I can enjoy the astonishing atmosphere of the night in Pécs, even for a short time. It is always a pleasure walking on the streets of Pécs, while others already sleep in their warm bed. I like to be out at night, just contemplating everything. Going to the bus station, I am always thinking about how many beautiful places this city still hides from me I don't have time to visit. I love these evening walks. They set me free and I forget all my hurts and difficulties I have to stand several times.
